Kevin was raised in Los Alamos, New Mexico and has a very strong interest in helping others receive financial education that will enable them to have more choices in life.  He made his first investment (silver Liberty’s) in 1984. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1995 with a MAcc / BS in Accountancy.  The oddly named “MAcc” is an MBA-equivalent with an emphasis in Accountancy.  He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner® (CFP), and Chartered Alternative Investment Asset (CAIA) professional designations and has expertise in various wealth management topics including investment analysis, portfolio management, and financial planning. His international and emerging market consulting experience took him to nations ranging from Indonesia to Iceland.

Kevin and his wife, Brenda, live just South of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and were married December 12, 2012 (12-12-12) at exactly 12:12pm, but they are NOT superstitious.  Kevin enjoys playing his guitars (three electric 6-strings and three acoustic 12-strings) in standard and alternate tunings.
